Farmhouse Renovations at Grey Towers
Description: The Farmhouse at Grey Towers National Historic Landmark was one portion of a major renovation project completed by L. R. Costanzo for the USDA Forest Service. The Farmhouse, which was originally used as a residence for Pennsylvania Governor Gifford Pinchot's personal chauffeur, currently houses research and scholar fellows for the Pinchot Institute for Conservation.

L.R. Costanzo performed significant building rehabilitation to restore interior characteristics, including extensive woodworking, as well as exterior architectural elements. Additionally, the building's mechanical systems were upgraded to modernize the Farmhouse.

Because the Grey Towers Farmhouse is a national historic landmark,
L. R. Costanzo was required to follow precise guidelines to preserve the integrity of the building throughout this renovation project.
