PNC Bank, N.A. - PNC Bank Prototype
Description: L.R. Costanzo constructed this branch to meet PNC Bank's new corporate initiative to maintain environmentally friendly retail locations.
L.R. Costanzo worked extensively to ensure its methods adhered to the LEEDs* standards set forth by the U.S Green Building Council.

All construction materials were researched thoroughly and shipped to the site from less than 500 miles away to reduce transportation pollution. L.R. Costanzo used recycled construction materials such as carpet, floor tiles and furniture panels and redirected construction materials on-site to minimize waste.
L.R. Costanzo also installed CO2 monitoring and humidification systems to maintain healthy interior conditions for PNC Bank employees and their customers.

Construction of this prototype was designed to be client-friendly with state of the art information technology systems utilizing ambient lighting and easy, 24-hour accessibility. The building's unique architectural accents included a clearstory design which provides a view directly through the building and allows as much natural light as possible, a cloud ceiling for nighttime lighting, exposed I-beams and exposed HVAC ducts.
