Once declared “the most beautiful Capitol in the nation” by President Theodore Roosevelt when the building was dedicated in 1906, Pennsylvania’s Capitol building underwent significant historical restoration. This project included the restoration of the First Floor – South Wing.


  • Restoration of intricate Renaissance designs
  • Matching of historic finishes, such as paint and leafing
  • Building occupied during construction


  • Worked closely with the Capitol Preservation Committee and a conservator to record the entire restoration process to ensure historical integrity
  • Engaged a laboratory to analyze finish samples to obtain exact match
