Project
L.R. Costanzo (LRC) served as the General Contractor for the construction of a new, best-in-class automotive facility. The Honda dealership includes a contemporary, open-plan showroom with integrated reception and customer engagement areas, as well as approximately ten enclosed administrative offices. LRC also delivered a climate-controlled vehicle intake and service area, designed for efficiency and durability, featuring three service bays equipped with specialized infrastructure to support ongoing operations.
Challenges
- Coordinating owner-supplied service equipment
- Synchronizing multiple building systems that needed to work in unison. Integrating Concrete Masonry Units (CMU), Structural Steel, and Precast Concrete required meticulous planning and precise execution
- Experiencing site congestion due to the limited size of the lot and the expansive building footprint
Solutions
- Cantilevered, two-story canopy featuring the Honda & Leadcar logos
- Installed Carvart Glass Systems, custom glass solutions from Poland
- Approximately 9,000 yards of material trucked in to construct building pad
- 1,400 yards of cast in place concrete (70 Wall Pre-Cast Panels & 32 Pre-Cast Plank)
Construction Details
- Constructed modern indoor and outdoor break areas designed for comfort and connection
- Installed advanced technology enabling COLTS to meet all compliance requirements for compressed natural gas buses, including environment monitoring, fuel management emergency shut-off’s, and power & data integration supply
