L.R. Costanzo’s experience in the hospitality industry encompasses a wide variety of projects – from restaurants to indoor water parks and hotels. The historic Hotel Fauchère, for instance, is an elegant yet contemporary hotel in Milford, PA. Our work on this 150 year-old landmark included a mix of historic renovation and the addition of modern comforts. Although the plans and scope of the renovations changed frequently during the construction phase, we adapted to our client’s wishes and successfully completed the project.
In order to maintain the structure’s historic integrity, we replicated many of the building’s historical details and seamlessly incorporated them alongside the original elements. We were also asked to introduce modern amenities within the Hotel, so we installed LCD televisions in every guest room, Wi-Fi throughout the premises, heated bluestone marble bathroom flooring, heated towel bars and Carrara marble baths. Located on the ground floor of the hotel is Bar Louis, an ultra-modern environment that called for custom millwork, zebra wood veneer and a white oak bar top.
Our Faccia Luna Restaurant project was honored with a Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce Pride and Progress Award. Our challenge was to transform this former banking building into a custom, handcrafted dining facility. Our expert craftsmen utilized their design-build skills to create custom red oak for millwork, tables, chairs, booths and the bar. All millwork was performed onsite to ensure a perfect fit. To fulfill our client’s vision, L.R. Costanzo installed a custom brick oven for authentic wood-fired cooking. This oven provided the key element that would fully transform an old bank into a new Italian pizza restaurant. Finally, in a nod to historical accuracy, we conserved the authentic plaster ceiling and matched the stucco finishes to the original.
