PROJECT
Because client’s former lease expired, this fast-track project called for a renovation of the entire third floor (approximately 8,000 square feet) of an existing building in just seven weeks. It included the installation of an elevator and creation of a new building entrance/facade.
CHALLENGES
- Multi-prime construction
- Ensuring that the project was complete in seven weeks
- The design, fabrication and procurement of extensive custom millwork were required
SOLUTIONS
- Conducted weekly on-site construction meetings with all sub-contractors and daily meetings with foremen to ensure the project’s quality and safety
- Closely managed timetables and deadlines and ran multiple shifts to ensure that the project was finished within its seven week window
- Worked with design professionals to make sure the custom millwork was constructed as envisioned
CONSTRUCTION DETAILS

- Made the building handicapped-accessible by building ramps and installing an elevator
- Created a majestic entranceway with vestibule
- Brought the building up to fire code by adding sprinklers and another set of steps for fire exit
